Definition
What is Webhook?
A webhook is a message one system sends to another the instant something happens, such as 'a new order was placed' or 'a form was submitted'. It is the trigger that starts most real-time automations. Without webhooks, an automation has to keep asking 'anything new?', which is slower and wasteful.

Webhook or polling
Use a webhook when speed matters, such as replying to a lead within minutes. Use scheduled polling when the source has no webhooks or when a daily batch is fine, such as a nightly report.
Frequently asked questions
Is a webhook secure?
When signed and verified, yes. We validate the signature on every incoming webhook and reject anything unsigned.
